Everlasting Life is Everlasting Life - John 3:16

COULD IT BE TRUE?

Could it be true that a person can be eternally secure in Christ? Could it be true that a person can have a relationship with God that can NEVER BE LOST no matter what they might do or believe in the future? Jesus answers this question for us, and He says repeatedly and emphatically, “YES!”

EVERLASTING LIFE is “EVER-LASTING” LIFE

John 3:16 (KJV) “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” Jesus promises “Everlasting Life” to the one who believes in Him, and that is precisely what you receive when you believe. Since it is “Everlasting Life,” it cannot last 10, 20, or 30 years and then be lost. Since “Everlasting Life” is the only kind of life God gives, then the one who believes in Him for salvation receives “Everlasting Life.”

The reason a person receives “Everlasting Life” when they believe in Jesus Christ alone for salvation is that Jesus Christ paid for ALL sin at the Cross of Calvary. He paid for the sin of the past, He paid for the sin of the present, and He paid for the sin of the future for all humanity. People don’t realize when they say “you can lose your salvation” because they are saying, “Jesus Christ did not pay for all sin.” The people that say you can “lose your salvation” have a flaw in their argument because their argument is “you can lose salvation because of a certain deed or act,” which is a sin. If this is the foundation of their argument: they deny Jesus Christ died on the Cross for ALL SIN; they deny Jesus is the Christ (Anointed One), the Son of God. “But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name” (John 20:31 KJV). My Bible says: “And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power: In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ: Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead. And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses; Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;” (Colossians 2:10-14 KJV)

If a person could lose their salvation (which a person cannot lose their salvation) because of sin, remember there is no forgiveness for sin without the shedding of blood. “And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission” (Hebrews 9:22 KJV). If a person could lose their salvation (which a person cannot lose their salvation), Jesus Christ would have to reveal Himself in the flesh and die again, be buried again, and resurrect every time a person sinned; however, thank God this is not the case. Hebrews 10:10,12 (KJV) “By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all...But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God.” IT IS FINISHED!

Let’s be honest, if a person believes that they can lose their salvation (which they cannot lose their salvation), they are NOT trusting in the Finished Redemptive Work of Jesus Christ, and they are trying to “earn salvation” by “keeping their salvation” because they feel they can lose their salvation (which they cannot lose their salvation). “Earning salvation” is a “work” and is not faith alone in the Finished Redemptive Work of Jesus Christ. Trying to “keep your salvation” is a “work” and is not faith alone in the Finished Redemptive Work of Jesus Christ. “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast” (Ephesians 2:8-9 KJV).

“Everlasting Life” has to last forever. If “everlasting life” could be lost (which a person cannot lose their salvation), then it has the WRONG NAME! If a person could lose their salvation (which a person cannot lose their salvation), it would not be called “EVERLASTING LIFE!”

If you have not believed, what is stopping you right now from believing? Believe Jesus Christ died on the Cross for ALL your sins, burial, and resurrection and receive the greatest gift ever, which is Everlasting Life. You can KNOW you will never go to Hell (because Jesus the Christ paid for ALL sin) and you can KNOW you are going to Heaven (because Jesus the Christ paid for ALL sin). If Christ’s death on the Cross for sins, burial, and resurrection does not give you Everlasting Life, His death payment for sin, burial, and resurrection does nothing for you. His death payment for sin, burial, and resurrection has to give you Everlasting Life because that is what the Word of God says. A person is no more saved today because of the way “they live” or “do not live” than the first time they trusted in Christ alone for salvation. It is the power of the Gospel that saves a person from a Hell they deserve to a Heaven they do not deserve. The very second person trusts in Christ alone for salvation (trusts in Christ alone as their only hope to saved them -believes Jesus Christ died on the Cross for their sins, burial, and resurrection), they are translated from the kingdom of darkness into the Kingdom of Light. After a person is saved. it is not their faithfulness, perseverance, or obedience that keeps them saved: it is God’s faithfulness that keeps a person forever saved; it is the power of God that keeps them saved for everlasting life; every believer is positionally preserved in Christ for eternity; every believer is born again and has a new nature that born of God that is perfectly suited for Heaven. Everlasting Life does not start when you die. Everlasting Life starts the very second you believe in Christ alone for salvation. Why not trust in Jesus Christ today for salvation. “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.” (John 3:16-18 KJV)

If you know someone who is not saved, forward this message to them and share the greatest gift that one could ever receive, EVERLASTING LIFE!

Once Saved, Always Saved -"And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand. I and my Father are one." (John 10:28-30 KJV)
